Hello my name is Karen Houghton and I formed SimplyKaren.com to bring active women cosmetics and skin care that are easy to use and good for their skin. Makeup women can actually enjoy using.

I have dealt with sensitive skin my entire life and used many products that didn't work for me. Mineral makeup was my answer. It was natural, light-weight, quick to apply, and has a built sunscreen that didn't break me out. But I was still having some redness and irritation and came to discover that it was the bismuth oxychloride contained in many mineral makeups. So I went to work to create and develop a product with the finest ingredients, that would provide exceptional coverage, be light-weight and natural, but without any bismuth oxychloride.
